Washed concrete, or exposed aggregate concrete, is a decorative method of finishing concrete by washing away the surface of the cement paste to expose the stone within the concrete.

While this is one of the most prevalent methods of finishing concrete in this area, washed finishes offer a wider range of options than many realize—by changing the sand and/or stone components of the concrete mix, a diverse range of colors and textures can be achieved.
